Advantages And Challenges Of Wind Energy

Air is essential for every living organism to live. This air must be protected from harmful pollutants and greenhouse gases for the successful survival of living organisms. All the energies that the earth’s produces are it heat, bio gas, wind, land resources, is important to lead a normal life. Man has invented to artificially produce energy to generate electric power. There are many ways to produce electricity. They are through solar energy, Wind energy, water energy etc. Solar power can be produced using solar panels to absorb the solar heat radiation from the sun. This is further processed to produce energy which is now used in many schools and institutions. Wind energy is the use of air flow through wind mills to mechanically generate electric power. Wind power mills have many benefits. They are renewable resources which do not emit greenhouses gases. The construction is clean with no water use, and uses very less land. It is widely distributed and cheaper.

Benefits Of Windstream Energy

The wind power is usually produced in wind farms which consist of large wind mills that are connected to the electric power network. It is usually used with other power supply sources since; wind flow can be consistent year to year. Wind energy from wind mills is a clean fuel source. It does not pollute the air like other power sources, which emit gas into the air due to combustion of fossil fuels. It is renewable and can be used again and again to produce power with zero water consumption. It is the lowest- cost effective power technologies available today making jobs for more than 101,000 people is U.S alone. Wind mills can be constructed on used farms and agricultural land as they do not pollute the land and consume only a fraction of acreage.

Challenges Of Wind Power

Wind power might not be cost competitive when built in less windy areas. The technology of windstream energy requires higher initial financial amount than other sources of power, though it is the cheapest and low cost resource produced. Although wind stream energy has less impact on the environment, the wind mill blades sometimes produces serious noise pollution and visual impacts to the landscape with can be irritating. These can even damage local wildlife.
